Anyhow, here are a few more pictures from our stops in Sugarite Canyon State Park in New Mexico and Caprock Canyon State Park in the Texas panhandle.There were loads of birds and flowers and wildlife. Both spots are beautiful, when it isn't too hot.
In Sugarite Canyon we had quite an impressive mountain thunder storm - followed by a rainbow at the mouth of the canyon as it opens out into the desert.
And we got to see a cinnamon colored Black Bear wandering through a clearing below our campsite.
Not to mention the rule, "Where there are cowboys there will be cactus."
And Then in Caprock Canyon we bumped into a Mississippi Kite.
And a Jack Rabbit
And a desert butterfly
