When I retired two years ago, two of my goals were to learn how to draw and to improve my photography skills. I broke my foot on a camping trip in the Fall of 2017. While recuperating I had time to pursue my goals.
I was very inspired by the marvelous illustrations of children's literature author, Duncan Tonatiuh. He combines drawings with photographs using Photoshop. My compositions chronicle my travels with Dennis. I will periodically include them in our travel blog.

And then we drove to the Chiricahua National Monument in far southeastern Arizona. We had been told that the area was great for birding, and it was, but it was so much more - a very beautiful and magical place. Different Native American tribes had different names for this place: The land of standing up rocks; The place where turkeys live.

And now, on to the Three Rivers Petrogylph site. Don't tell anyone. Don't go there. Keep it a very deep secret. The official description says that there are over 20000 different identified petroglyphs along a ridge of black rocks in the desert. It is also now noted that there are about 600 known modern additions of graffiti - that is why we don't want anyone else to find out about the place.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
