 Hoping to enjoy and encourage Mike's continuing recovery from his surgery, we grabbed a few days of increased strength and vitality and ran off to Big Bend National Park. It was a very nice getaway, and we completely forgot about everything else for the whole time. 



Of course, we had to stop at the Prada store in Marfa: 

It was closed. 

I don't know how those people ever make any money.

Over Christmas we took another small camping trip to Elephant Butte Lake, about 90 miles north of Las Cruces. From there we did day trips to Bosque del Apache, Monticello, NM, and the Gila National Forest.
